Kuala Lumpur, 6th June 2025 – Soft Space announces that Serene Teh Wan Lee has temporarily stepped aside from her role as Chief Financial Officer. This decision follows a mutual and considered agreement between Serene and the company’s leadership team, in light of long-standing personal matters.

Serene has been managing a deeply challenging and ongoing marital situation, which has taken a toll on her personal well-being and focus. Her decision to step aside was made in alignment with the leadership team and board of directors, in order to prioritise her well-being and to ensure continued leadership focus and stability for the company.

“Serene has our complete support,” said Joel Tay, CEO of Soft Space. “She is going through a difficult chapter in her personal life, and we fully support her decision to step aside. As the company continues to move forward rapidly, it is important that all executive leadership remains fully focused.”

During this transition, CFO responsibilities will be jointly undertaken by CEO Joel Tay, CSO Chris Leong, and Financial Controller Rick Leong, who has been working closely with Serene and the leadership team. This ensures continuity, stability, and alignment within the Finance function and across the company.

Soft Space remains in a position of strength, with all strategic and financial milestones progressing on track.
