1. What is EMV?

EMV stands for Europay, MasterCard, Visa. It is the global standard for chip-based Debit and Credit Card transactions. It is a joint effort between Europay, MasterCard and Visa to ensure security and global acceptance.

2. Are Soft Space’s products and services EMV compliant?

Yes, it is. We take security very seriously. Soft Space products and services are both EMVCo Level 1 and Level 2 certified, so it is recognised and accredited worldwide.

3. What are the benefits of the EMV compliant chip Card?

Your Card information is stored in the EMV compliant chip, making extraction of card information and cloning of card by fraud syndicates more difficult than existing magnetic stripe cards.

You will be able to enjoy improved security with the EMV compliant chip Card.

4. Does Soft Space provide Chip & PIN or contactless solution?

Yes, we do. Our payment solutions allow the use of Chip & PIN or contactless to process card payments on the go.

5. What mobile platforms do you support?

We support all of the latest platforms in Apple, Android and Windows.

Security

1. What happens if my chip card reader is lost or stolen?

If your chip card reader falls into the possession of a non-authorised user, don’t fret – as they will not be able to perform any transactions with our EMV payment platform.

This is because each chip card reader comes with a unique serial number that is specifically linked to your account and will only work with your device that has been granted access and permission through the Application.

We also ensure that the cardholders’ information is never stored within the device or the chip card reader at all times. All data traffic is strongly encrypted from end-to-end.

2. How secure are your products and services?

Soft Space deals with payments and transactions every day, hence security risk management and data protection require a high level of security and regulatory compliance – we want to build a foundation of trust with our clients.

Our platforms and products adhere to the highest level of global security standards. Our solutions have been through numerous penetration tests, strict scrutiny compliance and meticulous procedures before being adopted by financial institutions all over Asia.

We are certified by EMVCo, PCI DSS and other major card schemes, making our card readers secured and recognised globally.

3. What is the warranty for our payment card reader?

The card readers are under warranty for one (1) year from the date of purchase. The warranty does not cover damages found to be caused by the customer, including but not limited to water damage, drops, dents, extreme heat/cold damage, pressure, evidence of tampering of the casing and/or damages to internal components. Customers shall be liable for lost or stolen card readers.

Soft Space reserves the rights to collect the balance of payment for lost or stolen card readers.

4. How do you report any security concerns about our solution?

Customers and partners can contact Soft Space via support@fasspay.com to report potential security concerns you believe you have discovered. Please include the following information and encrypt the message using our public PGP key: 

a. Your organisation and contact name;

b. The affected product or solution name;

c. The affected product or solution version;

d. A brief description of the potential vulnerability; and

e. Supporting details such as configuration, steps used to reproduce or screen capture of the concerns you have.

We have no plans to be an acquirer at the moment. However, we are working with our global partners, together with acquiring banks to bring our unique EMV payment solution to you. Therefore the rates may vary depending on local Bank charges, country of operation and the nature of your business.
