Fasspay, a subsidiary of Soft Space and a Bank Negara Malaysia-licensed e-money and Visa prepaid card issuer, is the issuing partner behind the Atome Visa Card, Malaysia’s first buy-now-pay-later (BNPL) card built on Fasspay’s wallet platform, enabled on the Visa network. Fasspay acts as the licensed issuing entity and end-to-end card issuing processor, managing card issuance, transaction processing, and lifecycle operations. 

Unlike traditional BNPL offerings limited to specific merchants or online checkouts, the Atome Visa Card extends BNPL functionality to any Visa-accepting merchant. This includes groceries, fuel, food, and household expenses, transforming BNPL from a checkout-specific feature into a universal payment instrument for everyday transactions. 

The programme is currently live and gaining traction in the market. Atome has indicated strong interest from its user base, with significant demand for the product. Malaysia’s BNPL market is projected to grow significantly through 2030, pointing to substantial runway for card adoption and transaction volume growth.
