When Debit Circles built Vircle, Malaysia’s first family finance app for parent-controlled cashless school payments, it needed a fintech platform that could support a novel multi-child wallet architecture and satisfy Bank Negara Malaysia’s e-money requirements for serving minors.
That platform was Fasspay, a subsidiary of Soft Space.
Built on Fasspay’s Fintech-as-a-Service (FaaS) infrastructure, the Vircle app operates on a parent-owned wallet model where children spend within limits their parents define, the first solution of its kind to receive BNM approval.
Since launch, it has grown to 130,000+ users across 80+ public, private, and international schools, with parent adoption jumping from 60% to 90% within the first week of going live.
